About Me

My name is Jackee and I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA.  I've moved around a little in the past several years, but have been living in the Detroit Suburbs of Michigan for five years now.  I've been married for almost 13 years to my college sweetheart, Ryan and have three beautiful children and two doggies.  Phew!!  They keep me busy!  I work full time in a field not related to the Beauty Industry, but that is not what I intended to do after college.  HA!  My original plan was to work in the radio and television industry (behind the scenes), hence my degree in Communication Studies.  Well, the road of life led me elsewhere and I've been working in the same field now for several years.   That's okay!  I can't complain! It pays for my makeup addiction.

So where did the makeup addiction begin?  HA!  Well, ever since I can remember, I've had a "thing" for makeup! When I was a little girl, I remember getting into my mom's stash, my Aunt Maria's stash and God knows who else's makeup stash.  Oh, that awesome bright blue eyeshadow, hot pink blush and red lipstick of the 80's! Woo!  I was rocking it at 8 years old in 1984.  Well, only in the house of course!

Fast forward to 2011, I am now 35 and still love everything about makeup:  The Creativity! The Transformations! The Colors! The Freedom-meaning you can pretty much do whatever you want with makeup...THERE ARE NO RULES!  I freakin love it!

Makeup has become such an important part of my life.  I enjoy collecting it, trying new looks, watching Youtube videos, reading blogs and books, practicing looks on friends and family, and even sharing makeup advice with others, etc.  Occasionally I do a little freelance work, but nothing where I could make this a full time job! Yup, I'm not quitting my day job anytime soon! Deep down inside, I wish I could be a full time makeup artist! **Sigh** Who knows what the future holds for me!  I'm still young (so what, I'm 35...that's still young! Ha!) and anything is possible! We shall see!

Well, I hope you all enjoy reading my blog.  I appreciate that you've taken the time to stop by to get to know me a little better!

Talk to you soon,

Jackee
