FOTD and Review- Sweet Libertine Mineral Cosmetics

Hi ladies!  Hope you're all having a good weekend!  So far so good here.  I am just hanging out at home and playing with makeup!  What more could a girl ask for?

As I mentioned in My Pretty Pink Box post, some of the items I received are a couple of samples from Sweet Libertine Mineral Cosmetics.  I had never heard of the company prior to receiving the samples, so today I decided to do a look using the two samples I received.  Here is what I came up with and I hope you like it.

Let me just say that I hate my camera and hope I can get one with an HD feature in the near future.  These pictures do not do the eyeshadow colors any justice.  How frustrating!  ERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

My Thoughts on the Sweet Libertine Mineral Shadows:

I really like the shadows I tried.  They are easy to work with, easy to blend and the colors are super pretty and pigmented. Since these are mineral shadows, you definitely need a sticky base so that the shadows have something to stick to.  Anyway, I've been wearing the shadows all day and they have stayed put!

The only downside to these particular colors is that they are both very shimmery and there was quite a bit of shimmer fall out during application.  It's nothing that a clean kabuki can't fix though.

In case you're wondering about the ingredients, they are:

For Filigree:  Mica, Iron Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Magnesium Stearate. This eyeshadow is vegan.
For Neptune:  Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Tin Oxide, Magnesium Stearate. This eyeshadow is vegan.

I went on the Sweet Libertine website and found that for a full sized 5 gram jar (it appears to be a 5 gram jar - there is no confirmation on the site that I could find) is only $5.  That is a great deal!  Aside from the mineral shadows, the company also sells Glitter Shadows, Blush and Bronzers, Empty Palettes, Concealers, Gift Sets,  and Brushes.

One great program that the company offers is the Free Sample Program.  Click on the link to find out more.

Overall, I am happy with the samples I received and will more than likely be placing an order for full size products in the near future.  Hope you guys check out Sweet Libertine when you have some time.

Talk to you soon!
